There’s nothing quite like seeing how, when a parent’s wellbeing improves, the whole family becomes happier. It’s why I do what I do.
Do you feel like you are always shouting and snapping at your kids, and are never ‘present’ enough? Maybe you don’t know what to do when your kids have big emotions and behaviours? Perhaps you worry that you are being a bad parent and are damaging your children? I can help you to be calmer with your kids, enjoy your time with them more, and feel confident in your ability to respond to and manage tricky moments in family life.
In addition to my independent practice, I continue to work within child and family services, and as such understand the vital role that therapy for parents can play in improving their wellbeing - and that of the whole family. I have seven years post-qualification experience of working in specialist neurodevelopmental services, which has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and worries that parents of children who are developing differently face. I have extensive experience helping parents reduce their stress levels and to become the type of parents they have always wanted to be, and find this work incredibly rewarding.
